Department of Health and Human Services" and "home" to research centers that specialize in major areas of healthcare research including quality improvement and patient safety, outcomes and effectiveness of care, clinical practice and technology assessment. This website is a goldmine of practical information that will lead to changes in nursing best practices.

Nursing Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) - One of over 25 institutes and centers making up the national institutes of health. This website has a wealth of accurate and reliable information for the the clinical nurse.

Oncology Nursing Sociaty (ONS)- www.ons.org - Includes a link to international cancer research portfolio that allows users to search and sort cancer research by type of cancer, area of research or funding organization.

The Cochrane Library - http://www.cochrane.org/ - Contains high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Recognized as the gold-standard in evidence-based health care.

AHRQ's National Guideline Clearing House - www.guideline.gov - A comprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents.

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) - http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ - The world's largest biomedical library.
